Charlie’s Bar and Kitchen is a local staple here in Mott Haven, serving southern soul food styled dishes with a modern american fare. The space also offers a full service bar with creative cocktails blended with local offers. Situated on the corner of Alexander Avenue and Bruckner Avenue in the south of Bronx, this place has become a local watering hole and go to restaurant for the neighborhood.

Monday nights live Jazz and Blues performers grace the dining room stage living up to the Bronx spirit. The food is not to be missed as well as their kitchen here is serving up quite serious local cuisine. Dinner favorites include the pan seared salmon, and the cornflakes crusted fish and chips.

Brunch favorites like fried chicken and waffles and shrimp and grits are front and center during the weekends. The 454 burger is one of the most ordered items on the menu and after trying it I can completely understand why.
