Tim Ho Wan

Tim Ho Wan, the popular DimSum specialist from Hing Kong has brought their trade to the USA. With now having 2 branches here in NYC. The East Village location is a very popular hotspot for dimsum enthusiasts like myself. This post snow day Sunday seemed like a perfect day to start it with a nice hot bowl of congee.
Coming from the Philippines, luckily we were exposed at a very young age to different sects of Chinese cuisine. The dimsum place has always been 1 of my favorite places to go for lunch. Pair it with a steaming bowl of white rice and some crispy chili and sauteed pea shoots then we have ourselves a full trip down memory lane.
Sticky rice is also a staple item here along with the baked bbq pork buns which is what we started with like always. The steamed egg cake was unique and had interesting flavors as well that paired well with the pork wontons in spicy sauce.
Tim Ho Wan, you have not seen the last of us, we will be back very soon for more…
Until the next adventure… #kulinaryatravels will be back for more next week…
