2Fifty Texas BBQ
After a heavy breakfast I felt that it was nice to explore a bit of DC and see some sights that I have yet visited before. The International Spy Museum was suggested by a friend and being a big fan of espionage, I decided to give it a go. This was a very cool and informative museum that is highly interactive as well. A lot of historical facts and data were shared as well throughout the entire exhibit and the best part was James Bond’s vehicles were on display as well. The 007 exhibit was definitely the highlight of this tour.
All the espionage exercises finally made me hungry again and I just realized that my first 3 meals here in DC were all Filipino so I felt the need to shake it up. I haven’t had a proper BBQ for quite some time now and 2Fifty serving Texas style was the choice for this afternoon. I got the brisket and the ribs with a side of cornbread and coleslaw. The brisket was cooked to perfection, being nice and moist while the ribs were super tender. The cornbread offered a good balance to cut all the fat along with the coleslaw.
This has been such a cool day so far, let’s see what’s going on tonight… #kulinaryatravels will be back for more next week…
