Catch and Chop
New York’s quintessential dining place we would all have to agree would be the classic Steakhouse. The good old reliable restaurant covered in wood with a large bar shown in so many movies just has a pulling charm to it. Manhattan has no shortage of popular chop houses all over the 5 boroughs and I have featured quite a few of them here.
I am happy to share that the Upper East Side comunity has a new gem in the neighborhood. Catch and Chop, having just recently opened a few months back, is hitting its stride. I heard about this place a few months back but had not had a chance to visit until now…
I was lucky enough to secure a reservation on a busy Friday night and the crowd was ready to dine. The bar was full of patrons enjoying a cocktail on this chilly early winter evening. After we were ushered to our table the pretzel bread with butter arrived and this indicated that we were in for a fantastic meal.
Grilled octopus and a dozen oysters followed next, both excellent as well. Grilled ribeye cooked to a perfect medium rare was the star of the show accompanied with sauteed mushrooms and crispy fries completed this amazing evening. It's safe to say that I had found 1 of my new favorite spots to visit. Thank you for opening…
Until the next adventure… #kulinaryatravels will be back for more next week…
